an open, welcoming, ministering community, growing both spiritually

The
City of Sheffield was established in 1885, and our congregation of 13
members was formed on November 20, 1904. Our story, like that of every
other church, is a story of pastors (sixteen of them counting Stated
Supply and Interims) and building programs (three major ones and several
minor ones), but the real story is a story of lives that have been touched
by the power of God's Spirit at work in the ministries of the church.
That story is as rich and varied as are the hundreds of persons who
have been part of the congregation since 1904.
Our
congregation is made up of young and old, from all walks of life, bound
together by our common faith. We are a vibrant and alive congregation,
always interested in adding to our family and to the Family of God.
